Training overview
In this course, we will prepare you and your colleagues for the Scaled Agile® exam to obtain the coveted SAFe® Lean Portfolio Manager (LPM) certification.
The SAFe® Lean Portfolio Management training is an advanced course that builds a bridge between your agile organization and a lean-agile portfolio. You will be empowered to formulate and prioritize business hypotheses as epics and measure their success using leading indicators. The course also teaches you to establish a lean budgeting process to allocate resources efficiently. Ideal for companies that are already familiar with SAFe® and want to further develop their portfolio. You will dive deep into lean-agile portfolio management and learn how to achieve true business agility. This challenging course requires prior knowledge of SAFe®. Throughout the course, you will interactively learn the tools and techniques required to implement a lean portfolio. You will use the “Portfolio Canvas” tool to visualize, communicate and adjust the structure of your portfolio. You will also learn how to make portfolio initiatives transparent and shorten the time-to-market. An optional one-day workshop “Getting Started with LPM” rounds off the training, serves as a team kick-off and offers practical planning aids for the introduction of SAFe® Lean Portfolio Management.

Anyone involved in business strategy, budgeting and HR planning is in the right place!
Level/Difficulty: Advanced
Prerequisites
- Completion of the online courses and reading of the documents and articles provided by Scaled Agile® after your registration for this course
- You should allow at least 1 week for part-time preparation (at least 4 hours)
- For remote courses, it is necessary to test the course environment with all participants in order to avoid delays at the start of the course. This test usually takes place in the early evening on a day the week before. If one date is not possible for all participants, Bizagility offers up to 2 test dates. Bizagility invites the course participants via Outlook with a Teams link. Of course, all course participants need a stable and high-performance internet connection, ideally a headset and a camera.
- On-site courses require a professional training environment that corresponds to the number of course participants. Above all, the room size, ventilation, background noise and equipment must be right. Sometimes it makes sense to hire an external conference room for this purpose. This environment must be available to the trainer on the day before the first day of the course for preparation and testing. In the event of questions or problems, the trainer needs a contact person from the customer.
