Training overview
In this course, we will prepare you and your Scrum Master colleagues for the Scaled Agile® exam to obtain the coveted SAFe® Scrum Master (SSM) certification.
This course highlights the critical role of the Scrum Master within the SAFe® framework and demonstrates how to operate successfully in a scaled agile context. Participants will be trained to coach and facilitate agile teams to achieve excellence. A central aspect is the effective planning and implementation of a Program Increment (PI), which ensures alignment across all levels of a SAFe® organization. It shows how to build strong agile teams as servant leaders that create value at scale. The course also provides additional knowledge to facilitate the access and application of SAFe®. Participants will learn how to facilitate agile events such as iteration planning, team synchronizations and iteration retrospectives, and how to help teams structure their work with Scrum and Kanban. Overall, the course provides the tactical knowledge required to be an effective Scrum Master in a SAFe® organization and introduces techniques to collaborate optimally with remote and distributed teams.

Course schedule
Target Group
The course is aimed at people who are already working as Scrum Masters, Agile Masters, team coaches, team leaders, project managers and sub-project managers or who are interested in implementing and developing agile principles. No prior knowledge is required, but a basic understanding of agile is helpful.
Level/Difficulty: Beginner
Prerequisites
- Completion of the online courses and reading of the documents and articles provided by Scaled Agile® after your registration for this course
- You should allow at least 1 week for part-time preparation (at least 4 hours)
- For remote courses, it is necessary to test the course environment with all participants in order to avoid delays at the start of the course. This test usually takes place in the early evening on a day the week before. If one date is not possible for all participants, Bizagility offers up to 2 test dates. Bizagility invites the course participants via Outlook with a Teams link. Of course, all course participants need a stable and high-performance internet connection, ideally a headset and a camera.
- On-site courses require a professional training environment that corresponds to the number of course participants. Above all, the room size, ventilation, background noise and equipment must be right. Sometimes it makes sense to hire an external conference room for this purpose. This environment must be available to the trainer on the day before the first day of the course for preparation and testing. In the event of questions or problems, the trainer needs a contact person from the customer.
